It was time for something new in drums. Tama found that something new in African bubinga wood, which is approximately 53% harder than maple and birch. Acoustically speaking, this provides an interesting anomaly.... Very sharp and aggressive attack combined with unbelievably rich, fat lows. Volume is one other characteristic that these drums seem to offer in abundance.
